WHEREAS, September 1, 2019 is the official chartering of the Central Virginia Chapter of the WVUAA, Inc., representing West Virginia University alumni and friends in their geographic region; and

About the Chapter

The Central Virginia Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association (CVCWVUAA) was officially chartered on September 1, 2019, serving West Virginia University alumni and friends throughout the Central Virginia region.

Our Mission: Stay connected to Mountaineer Nation right here in Central Virginia through watch parties, scholarships, service, and lifelong Mountaineer spirit.

What We Do:

• Watch Parties: We host viewing events for WVU sports games, bringing together local Mountaineers to cheer on our teams
• Scholarships: We provide financial support to deserving students from our region attending West Virginia University
• Community Service: We organize service projects like our Bears & Blankets program to give back to our local community
• Networking & Social Events: We create opportunities for alumni, family, and friends to connect and build lasting relationships

Membership: Central Virginia Chapter membership is open to all West Virginia University alumni, family, and friends. Members receive first opportunities to participate in special events, including tickets to sporting events and meetings with featured guests from the University.
